This seminar provides an application-oriented introduction to the advanced statistical methods available in SPSS Statistics and AMOS for data analysts and researchers. We will review a variety of multivariate analysis of variance, exploratory factor analysis and confirmatory factor analysis techniques and discuss situations in which each technique would be used, the assumptions made by each method, how to set up the analysis, as well as how to interpret the results. On the other hand, Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) is a statistical methodology that is widely used by researchers in the social, behavioral and educational sciences. Participants will gain an introduction of when and why to use this SEM technique as well as how to apply it with confidence and interpret the SPSS relevant output.
