技術支持的學習空間如何促進學習:深入理解學生的使用過程

Abstract: The application of technology-enhanced learning spaces has become a research hotspot. There have been many research studies on impacts of technology-enhanced learning spaces on students’ academic achievements and learning behaviors, but only a small number of them focus on how the spaces have effected the impacts. This seminar will elaborate on how technology-enhanced learning spaces could facilitate the learning of postgraduate students in Hong Kong and explain in detail the impacts of technology-enhanced learning spaces on the students. Interviews have been conducted with twenty-three postgraduate students who have experienced learning in technology-enhanced learning spaces. Interview data have been analyzed in the grounded theory approach and a theoretical model has been proposed for the process of student learning in technology-enhanced learning spaces. Results show that three factors, namely externalization and expression, time and energy, as well as learner autonomy facilitate students’ learning engagement in technology-enhanced learning spaces. Pedagogical methods also determine the effectiveness of technology-enhanced learning spaces.
